Established in 2008, UQ Sports Achievement Scholarships are awarded to new and current undergraduate students of the Unversity of Queensland who display elite ability and excel in their chosen sport. These year-long scholarships are funded by donors and by The University of Queensland to encourage and support scholarship holders to reach their full potential both in their studies and in their sport. The UQ Sporting Scholarship selection process is highly competitive and not all applicants who meet the eligibility criteria will be awarded a scholarship.

UQBC currently co-funds two scholarships.  The scholarships co-funded by UQBC are targetted at athletes that are current members of UQBC, who are still developing, show outstanding potential and most importantly, could benefit greatly from the funds provided to support their rowing pursuits.
